    Over the past few years, Martin Storey has become one of our favorite Rowan designers.  The creative mind behind the Rowan Classics line, Martin has been a frequent contributor to the Rowan Magazines for over a decade.  From
    Classic Heartland
    published in 2009 we are pleased to present Lowri, a wonderful two color in a row fair isle pullover knit in now discontinued Rowan Silky Tweed yarn.  Silky Tweed is an Aran weight blend of 80% wool and 20% silk that knits up quickly and is so soft it just begs to be touched.   The sweater features simple shaping, set in sleeves, and a scoop ribbed neckline.  The pattern can be made in any of 8 sizes -- from the smallest to fit a chest/bust of 32 inches all the way to the largest to fit a chest/bust of 46 inches inches.  The pattern specifies a
    gauge
    of 20.5 stitches and 21 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 8 (5 mm) needles.  The design will work up quickly and become an instant classic.

    Rowan Silky Tweed was discontinued several years ago and is becoming increasingly difficult to find.  The kit represents a rare opportunity to create the design in Martin's original soft colors.

    :  The kit comes with a copy of the pattern and a total of 16 hanks of vintage Rowan Silky Tweed, already wound for you and ready to knit in the following shades:  Tabby (754), Bechamel (756), Dazzle (758) and Sooty (755). Matching dyes - sufficient to make the sweater in any size.
    As with all of our RareRowan kits, this pack has been carefully stored in a non-smoking home, and these kits will arrive to you in pristine condition, ready for knitting. We stock our kits in two locations and only ship on weekends from Katy, Texas.
