Description
Kim Hargreaves Lace Cardigan/Sweater Kit - Rowan Book 6 - Vintage Rowan DK Tweed in RussetKim Hargreaves was Rowan's in-house designer for years. "Lace Cardigan" is a classic reflection of Kim's design sensibility, creating a very feminine, graceful sweater. The cardigan is knit using traditional lace stitches and is suitable for intermediate knitters. The pattern can be made as a cardigan as pictured in the rust version or as a pullover sweater as shown in the green version. The design features simple shaping, set in sleeves, and a deep V neck. The cardigan can be made in any of three sizes -- Small with a finished chest/bust measurement of 37 inches, Medium with a finished chest/bust measurement of 40 inches, or Large with a finished chest/bust measurement of 43.5 inches. The model was knit in a shade of russet Rowan Designer DK. For this version we have chosen the same shade in Vintage Rowan DK tweed to give the cardigan a heathered look. Designer DK and DK Tweed are interchangeable as they knit to exactly the same gauge. The design calls for a tension of 22 stitches and 26 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 6 (4mm) needles..
