15"Rare Antique Bermese Peg-Jointed Wooden Asian Warrior String Puppet Doll

Large Vintage Carved Wooden Asian Warrior String Marionette Puppet Real Hair. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This absolute, eye-catching, jointed wooden antique gofun painted Asian string doll, comes in a cute, home-made display case that measures 22 inches tall, 18" wide, and has a bowed front that extends about 8.5 inches deep. The the front is made of plastic, the back is cardboard, and it's frame is made of wood.
It took a thoughtful person, to decide that displaying the doll in a "hanging" position, allows it to not only be visualized for enjoyment, but protects the paint from loss as well.
Although the shipping cost includes the case, if it is not wanted, shipping will be much less.
The doll is made of carved wood beneath perhaps, gofun painted composition. The paint is original and although largely intact, is missing in areas.
The doll has warrior style, painted markings and exceptionally smooth joint movement, much of which is pin jointed with tiny wooden pegs.
The doll has a unique form, with unusually large legs and delicate, flat feet.
It also has a carved tail feather in back and is adorned with handsome, hand-carved wooden bracelets and a chunky neck disc or collar.
Best of all however, is how the hair was added. Attached to wooden posts, human or horse hair is fastened, then inserted into holes on top of the head.
Unfortunately, the display case (which needs dusting), does have a less than a 1 inch split on one side near the top edge. Also, one of the four plastic ring pulls (located on the top of the case) is missing.
Whether the next owner wants the case or not, the doll will be removed from it, to be packaged properly for shipping.
It will be sent with strings attached (🤣), and with 3 detached plastic rings.
I have enjoyed this doll for many years, in my own collection.
